Ightam Mote

21st Oct - Great day - heavy frost!

This was quite a shock and reminder that Winter is just around the corner. Betty took this photo from inside the car just as I was beginning to try to clear some of the ice away.






Got to Ightam Mote (pronounced Item - thank you Janet) at 11am and there was plenty of frost left in the shady areas. Ightam is a 14th Century moated manor house and an absolute delight.






The house contains a great variety of items including the almost obligatory armour. Don't think I would fit into this one.














And the only place we have seen with a heritage listed dog kennel {:-))
