We set off from Martin's place and called into the steel town of Port Talbot to meet Betty Jones (nee Saxon) who is doing remarkably well considering
many health issues. She is a keen Genealogist and gave me a monster printout of her entire tree!
We also met her son Mike (who I have corresponded with) at a motorway services area for a coffee. Quite a feat of coordination on the spur of the moment.
Finally arrived at Aberistwith a typically late Victorian seaside town. We finally parked near the end of the promenade and walked into a guesthouse who gave us a nice room looking out over the sea.
Just a little further along was a cliff railway which was fun....
At the other end of the Promenade was the obligatory Norman Castle. Now a sort of town park - just walk up and look around.
