Beatrix Potter and Brant Fell

12th Oct - last really great day.

I was dragged into "the world of Beatrix Potter" who lived most of her life in the lake district.

I rather enjoyed it! A lot of tableaux from her books and a typical garden and lots of other stuff.



Another scene - Mrs Hedgehog the washer woman I guess.

Later we climbed up Brant Fell above Lake Windermere. Thought we should do some walking as there are so many determined and macho looking walkers around.







It was a pretty steep climb but well worth it - by then the morning
mist had cleared.

The weather is definitely cooling.
