Piked up my friend Ed von Renouard in Sidcup (SW London) and drove him up to his 2nd home in Norfolk. The rental car is a 2 door Astra which is a real pain for 3 people. I might even get back into driving a manual car with a bit more practice. But there is a huge amount of traffic on the roads - including many large trucks.
We stopped in a little pub in a place called Denver for lunch - looking out onto the Broads. A little too cold and wet to eat outside.
Ed's Daughter's partner works in a brand new huge paper mill built by a German company in less than 2 years. Gunghalan interchange people please note.
It turned out that the mill was having an open day so we went along.
All very impressive stuff including the occasional robot.
