More Malls

Final Day - Temps still in the mid to high 40s
Went around everywhere on 'The big Buses" - hop on & off. They were air conditioned.
Also did a short river cruise on the Dubai Creek in a non-air conditioned Dhow..... But at least we were mostly in the shade.
The 5 star hotels were just obscene. This is the Atlantis at the end of the artificial Palm Island. Seemed to be wall to wall Italians there. Most (per the bus commentary) had "27 restaurants and bars" etc.








We saw the water fountain show behind the Dubai Mall around sunset. Very Impressive. We had just eaten in a specially screened off area for non- Muslims. The food court itself was screened with a big curtain at the entrance and then the meal had to be taken away and eaten behind high cardboard screens entered via a maze.
Off to Ireland tomorrow - actually we are already here. Not much to say about the trip except it was long and hectic.
