2 days in Dublin

6th & 7th Sep Temps around 17 to 18 deg
Heavy rain on the first day - but cleared up on the 7th. See the pics of the river Liffey.

Law courts all 18th Century buildings etc.

We did the hop on/off bus thing again on both days

On the first day the first stop was a tour of Trinity college and the book of Kells. The tour guide was a nice young student who got progressively more sodden. I asked if he did it to pay his fees - but it seems everyone is free.
The Library and book were very impressive - but way too many tourists trying to keep out of the rain.

  1. Interesting trip. Sargent family has Dublin connections.
We have just returned from Cairns. John's mother died on the 11th anniversary of Andrew's funeral. She was 18 days short of 95 and was ready to leave. John and Barb sat with her in her last days and now we are all happy for her. she had a wonderful life.
We are well and I hope to catch up with Beris soon. No plans for tripping this year! love, gail
