Gardens

Flew to UK on the 15th - left in a gale but reasonably dry.
Then started a great 3 day stay with Debbie, & Richard plus Jessica and Leo

Debbie grew up with our children - they lived opposite in Mauldon St.
She now has a high level job with Channel 4 TV and they live in Haywards Heath just North of Brighton.
We went to 3 National Trust gardens over the 3 days.

The first was Sheffield Park - a Victorian pile (now expensive flats) with really fabulous grounds originally laid out by Capability Brown. No less than 3 huge lakes each one lower than the last a beautiful Cricket ground with wonderful old trees.
Lord Sheffield was the instigator of the Sheffield Shield in Oz - a cricket tragic of course.
