Carnarvon to Chester

Sun 10th Oct - Perfect weather

We nipped over the Menai Straights bridge to Anglesea - but the countryside looked much the same.

View of Bangor - who remembers the song?

You can refresh your memory at www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMNrrLBdhuM It does not go down too well with most of the younger set today judging by their comments. But they may not know that it was probably the once a year holiday for many of the girls who worked in the mills in the North of UK
Arrived in Chester in time to travel around on one of the tour buses. Some very nice Elizabethan shops and houses from the 1500s. But also many Victorian copies.
Took a trip down the river Dee - some pretty flash houses down there.

The Cathedral was great s well. It was all happening on the Sunday. Bells, Choir, an excellent Organ, and the cloisters were perfect.
