23 Sep - Rainy and cool We visited Denver Mill nearby in the afternoon after the rain stopped. The mill is still working and grinding up various grades of flour (and semolina I saw :-).
This was the only normal stair in the climb which included 5 or 6 very steep ladders. Note to visiting ladies - wear trousers! 
The old gear wheels were really whizzing round as the wind was quite strong - not to be fooled with.
The views from the top were really good - despite the weather. And you get a good idea of the size of the blades as they whizz past.
